However, thanks to misleading file downloads or false advertising, users sometimes intentionally install malware. Most malware is installed without the user’s consent or knowledge. According to Wikipedia, this includes “computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, adware, scareware, and other malicious programs.” Malware, short for “malicious software,” is any type of program that interferes with the operation of a user’s computer or acts against the desires of the user. ![]()
